Overlooking the sea and facing Caroline Hospital, the Villa Marine – House of the Islands and Coastline – marks a new chapter in the relationship between Marseille and its archipelago. Carefully restored on the island of Ratonneau, in the heart of the Frioul archipelago, this former military building, later converted into a seaside cottage, has been transformed into a welcoming hub dedicated to education, interpretation, and raising awareness of the islands’ landscapes, biodiversity, and history.
