On the occasion of his first solo exhibition at Galerie Kokanas, we met Marseille-based illustrator Antoine Bonnet, whose world blends cinema, drawing and imagination. A conversation about creative gestures, ways of seeing, and images that tell stories.
Hyperrealistic coloured-pencil drawings, photocollages, reimagined mythology, and references to cinema, photography and pop culture… Antoine Bonnet creates a distinctive visual universe in which each image seems suspended within a larger narrative. On the occasion of his Tritons exhibition, he looks back on his journey, his return to traditional drawing, his influences, and his approach to illustration as a fragment of a story.
