Seen from the sky it is a remarkable star made from limestone. From the Old Port - until now - we only saw an imposing staircase and high ramparts. But since the SOS group took over its management the fortress is no longer impregnable. The Citadel of Marseille is now a magnificent belvedere over the city, open and welcoming to all its inhabitants for visits or cultural events.
